Elauwit gives back this holiday season
For many years, Elauwit’s Networks office in Columbia, SC, and Media office in Haddonfield, NJ, has volunteered and given back during the holiday season, and this year is no different. In Columbia, Elauwit is once again volunteering with the Sue Kuhlen Camp for Kids - a nonprofit group that provides support services to children born with HIV and their families. Once again, Elauwit helped out by providing both Thanksgiving meals and Santa gifts to over 30 children and their families spread out around the state of South Carolina. This year, we’re be doing it all again.
Elauwit employees, and friends of the company, help a number of ways – by choosing a family or families to adopt; by donating toys, home supplies and non-perishable food items; and by providing funds and gift cards to the needy families. During the weekend of December 15-16, our volunteers will be helping to sort and label all the gifts to ensure they make it to the right families. That next week, our “Santas” deliver the gifts to the families.
In Haddonfield, Elauwit is once again running its “Deck the Paws and Help a Collie” animal shelter drive. Led by the efforts of Alan Bauer, our general manager, we’ve been running the drive since 2004. Each year, we partner with local businesses that serve as collection/drop-off points for cans and bags of food, boxes of cat litter, toys and treats, and much more.
After the collection bins are full, Alan coordinates with local animal shelters and rescue groups to have the goods picked up or delivered. It’s a great way that we give back to the communities we serve, and those communities have been very supportive of the drive every year.
We here at Elauwit know the holidays are a busy and expensive time for everyone, but helping the less fortunate is something we can all find pride in.
