Elauwit named provider for one of country's largest student housing communities

The buzz in College Station, Texas is all about student housing. In 2014 alone, the small but mighty college town will welcomed three new student housing communities last year and will bring two additional communities in 2014. One of those is the 17-story high-rise, Northpoint Crossing.

The first phase of Northpoint Crossing will be completed during the summer of 2014. It will include 307 apartment units with 920 beds, and two parking garages. The first floor of each will include 50,000 square feet of restaurants and retail.

Phase two will add 300 additional apartments another 955 beds. It will be completed in 2015. Located on the site of the old Plaza Hotel, it's a skyscraper-type building at the intersection of Texas and University.

In total, Northpoint Crossing will house 1,875 beds. It's the largest currently-planned student housing project in the country.

And, proudly, Elauwit Networks will provide data, wifi, and cable services to Northpoint Crossing residents. It makes the largest community in Elauwit's portfolio second only to Granville Towers in Chapel Hill, North Carolina with its 1,317 beds.

A part of Capstone Collegiate Communities, Northpoint Crossing will be our second project with the developer. The other is 13th and Olive in Eugene, Oregon.

"Our clients want to see advanced technology deployed for their residents – technology that works as it was designed and provides the services intended," says Bruce Sanders, Executive Vice President at Elauwit. "Elauwit is proud to do that for Capstone and is committed to delivering exceptional customer service to their residents as we connect them to the world."
