Taylor P. Jones
Chief Technology Officer
Most memorable Elauwit experience:
Early days cross country driving from job to job to make all summer turn-ups and property activations happen on time. There were some long summers, but we were a smaller company back then and created lots of good memories.
Have had lots of successful product launches – sometimes the new value-add services launches are more fun than a normal site activation or conversion.
December 2014 – the Elauwit Christmas story – really proud of the team making several major clients really happy with our rapid response and take-over of abandoned sites.
Favorite movie or TV show:
Big fan of the original Red Dawn movie and DUNE (one from 1984 with Sting/Sir Patrick Stewart)
Most interesting place visited:
Warri Nigeria – would like to hit Iceland and Greece at some point
Most people don't know:
I’m really quite boring – besides reading a lot of sci-fi trash novels and taking care of my three kids (the Elauwit network, APJ and VCJ), I don’t have a unique skill or trick. I enjoy hunting, skiing and USC football games (win or lose).
Taylor holds a BS in Business Administration from the Moore School of Business and graduated from the University of South Carolina Honors College. He is Chief Technology Officer of Elauwit.
As CTO, Taylor's primary goal is to ensure successful services are deployed to Elauwit's aggressive MDU telecomm build-out projects. He develops value-added services, scales our applications to push the network deeper, and ensures great customer satisfaction.
Taylor really enjoys coming up with cost effective, high bandwidth solutions to solve client infrastructure needs. He works closely with our Sales and Customer Operations groups to make sure every community has the proper infrastructure for current and future technology needs, while securing local vendor support with best-in-market pricing and services. Ultimately, Taylor assures Elauwit delivers on its promise of the best customer experience on the best network starting on day one.
Previously he was an advisor for PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP and practiced in the areas of utilities, telecommunications and natural resources. Before Elauwit, he managed a Southeastern FTTH service provider and Carolinas based ISP.
Outside of work, Taylor is married with two small children and two ferocious Boston Terriers. He enjoys hunting, sailing, sci-fi books/movies and anything distilled.
